Carbon Fiber Filament

The Gizmo Dorks carbon fiber filament is a new blend designed specifically for yielding high quality strong parts. The base material of ABS is blended with approximately 20% of high modulus carbon fiber. The addition of carbon fiber into ABS adds increased stiffness and much improved dimensional stability. The light weight carbon fiber is an easy print producing an excellent surface quality finish.

Printing Specifications

• Extrusion Temperature: 200 - 220°C
• Bed temperature: 100 - 120°C
• Speed: 50 - 80 mm/s
• Recommended nozzle size: At least 0.5 mm
• Wall thickness: 0.8 mm
• Layer thickness: 0.1 mm
• Bed preparation: Kapton Tape and/or ABS juice slurry

Filament Specifications

Diameter is 1.75mm +/- 0.05mm. The net weight of the filament is 1 kg.

Please note - carbon fiber filled filaments are abrasive and may lead to premature wear in brass or aluminum nozzles. We recommend using hardened steel nozzles as they are much more wear resistant.
